The
Facts...
As
a user of air filters, you had limited options available when it came time to
change your air filters. You could just throw them away, increase the amount of
non-biodegradable waste in our landfills and just install a new air filter. Or,
you could use wet wash technology with its inherent drawback... PAPER AND WATER
AREN'T A GOOD MIX. Now
you have a choice. One which makes the old options outdated. Why? Because they
both provide less protection for your engine than a filter that has been cleaned
by the Turbo Vac dry clean method. Filter
manufacturers who have conducted tests with washed filters show that a filter
washed just once can lose up to 30% of its service life. In addition, the filter
media is weakened by the water. Resins are leached out and it is the resins that
hold the fibers together in the filter media. Equally dangerous to your engine
is the notion that "a new filter provides better protection than a dry cleaned
filter". Any manufacturer will tell you that your engine exposed to its greatest
risk of damage caused by ingesting dirt right after a new filter is installed. It
is a well-known fact in the maintenance field that a new filter is less than 100%
efficient. Not until the filter builds up a level of contamination, known as a
"precoat", does a filter achieve optimum efficiency. Therefore, dirt
entering an engine will do so by passing through the filter before the precoat
has had an opportunity to form. This occurs during the first 20% of the filter
life. After this time, the filter performs at maximum efficiency. The more often
a new filter is used, the more dirt your engine will ingest. That's why we say
neither of these choices are correct. The
Solution... How
does the air filter user solve these problems? He does it by cleaning his air
filters with the Turbo Vac dry clean system. A Turbo Vac dry cleaned filter is
generally less than half the price of a new filter. A Turbo Vac dry cleaned filter
provides optimum filtration protection. A Turbo Vac dry cleaned filter recycles
a dirty air filter destined for the landfill. The correct choice is Turbo Vac. Click
